We are excited to announce the appointment of Scott Huter as Rev.1 Engineering‘s new Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Magrini as the Chief Operations Officer, and Andy Denison in the newly created Chief Technology Officer position.
Scott replaces founder and former CEO, Eric Johnson, who will be staying on in a consulting capacity and as part of the board of directors for the foreseeable future.
Scott has been with Rev.1 Engineering for 12+ years and has served as COO since 2021. He brings over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry and a proven track record of leadership. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and an MBA from California State University San Marcos.
As CEO, Scott will focus his experience on continuing to build on Rev.1 Engineering’s proven history as a reliable medical device design and innovation firm.
Scott says, “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue expanding on what Phil [Burke] and Eric [Johnson] accomplished with Rev.1 Engineering. Working with our team of exceptional people, we will continue our excellence in medical device innovation by challenging the status quo and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.”
He will continue to work closely with newly appointed COO Kevin Magrini. Kevin has been with Rev.1 Engineering for 12 years, most recently serving as VP of Operations, and has been an engineer in the medical device industry since 2000. His experience in the medical device industry emphasizes product development and operational management at Rev.1 Engineering. He believes in failing-forward fast and enjoys working on complex projects with problems that do not present clear directions or answers.
“Rev.1 is lucky to have some of the most extraordinary and hard-working team members that make this possible,” Kevin states. “I am grateful to not only continue to grow with the company, but to support our team members and customers, and watch them meet and exceed their goals.”
Alongside Kevin, Andy Denison has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer – a brand new position here at Rev.1 Engineering. Prior to this new position, Andy served as the VP of Engineering for 2 years and has been with the company since 2012. His previous experience includes prominent medical device companies such as Guidant Corporation, Edwards Life Sciences, CeloNova Biosciences, and more. Andy also holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Andy says, “I am honored to continue working with our exceptional team in the newly created Chief Technology Officer position at Rev.1 Engineering. It is truly exciting to lead our organization in providing innovative solutions for our customers.”
